Come boldly to God’s throne, praying His Word and invite others to join you.
Morning Covenant Prayer
James 2: 23-24
And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit,
Open the eyes of ____ to see that there is no greater friend to have than You, Jesus. You laid down Your life so that we could live.
Forgive us and these we lift to You when we have not given You the rightful place in our lives that only belongs to You. Remember that we are dust and have mercy, for even though we are dust, You made us in Your image and desire to change us into Your likeness. You are so long-suffering. Thank You.
We plead Your blood, Jesus, over these and ask that You would be able to say that each is Your friend.
In the Name of Jesus, Savior of the world,
Amen
Noon Covenant Prayer
Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Lord,
Christian friendships and accountability are crucial to our journey of faith.
David and Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi, You, Jesus, and Your disciples, Elijah and
Elisha, and Paul and Timothy are all examples.
We lift up ___ to You. Some have become islands; others are yoked with worldly friends and influences.
We cry out to You with all our hearts and plead for each to have friends who love You with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength.
And if You hear us and we know that You do, surely we will have our request. You are good. You are faithful. Come, Holy Spirit, and accomplish these things in each to Your glory.
In the Name of Jesus, forever friend, Savior of the world,
Amen
Evening Covenant Prayer
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
Abba,
You know the importance of a godly friend. Even when You were on earth, Jesus, You had friends who loved You and desired to follow God. You protected them and helped them grow in You. You are no respecter of persons.
Forgive these when they have looked in the wrong places for friends or have chosen friends of the world instead of friends that are pursuing You. Forgive them when they have lacked confidence to reach out to others and be a godly friend.
Please ____ godly friends and make each of them into godly friends that proclaim Your love and truth in the places that You plant them and to the ends of the earth.
In the Name of Jesus, who makes what looks impossible to us as done, Hallelujah!
Amen
