Morning Covenant Prayer
Matthew 1:23
The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel—which means, “God with us.”
Father in Heaven,
How desperately we need You with us. We praise You, Jesus, that You never leave us or forsake us. Capture the heart, mind, soul, and spirit of _______ to understand what it means for You to be in constant relationship with us.
Augustine once said that our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You. Let each of these find their rest in You.
In Your Name, Immanuel, Jesus, God with us,
Amen
Noon Covenant Prayer
Isaiah 7:9b
If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.
Father,
If we only ate occasionally, we would not be in good health. Yet many of these we lift to You have starving and thirsty souls.
Yet, Your Word says faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. Your Word says not to forsake assembling together with other believers and encouraging one another. Give _____ a hunger for You, Your Word, and the desire to assemble together with other believers to worship You, study Your Word, and serve others.
Set their feet firmly on You.
In the Name of Jesus, the only firm foundation,
Amen
Evening Covenant Prayer
Psalm 141:4a
Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers.
Father,
We long for the hearts of _________ to be drawn to Jesus. Let none of these hearts any longer be drawn to evil. Cause them to no longer take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers.
In the Name of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who gave His life for the wandering sheep,
Amen
